At Protective, we want to make the TeleLife process as simple as possible for you and clients alike. To help that effort, we’ve recently updated our process to allow both the owner and insured to sign applications and other required forms electronically. This will decrease cycle time by eliminating additional signatures during underwriting or on policy delivery when the owner is different than the insured.

How does it work?
When the owner is a person other than the insured, both will be prompted to e-sign the application packet. The packet will be sent out to both the owner and insured simultaneously following the tele-interview, and the underwriting process will begin once both the owner and the insured have completed the e-signature process.

To take advantage of this process, make sure to provide an email address and phone number for the owner when submitting a ticket. This process is not available if the owner is a trust or company.
